DAY 4: Salvation for the lost

Today, we are fasting and praying for those who have not yet come to know Jesus. Behind every name on our prayer list is a person God loves a family member, friend, coworker, neighbor, or someone we have yet to meet. No one is beyond the reach of His mercy.

Let’s pray for hearts to receive the Gospel and for people to encounter the love and truth of Jesus. Let’s also ask God to make us willing to share our faith with compassion and courage. Keep praying for the person you have been concerned about, even when you cannot see a change. Their story is still unfolding. Today, bring their name before God again.

Today’s key scriptures…

breakfast: Luke 15 (God rejoices over the lost being found and sinners coming to repentance)

lunch: Romans 10 (Salvation comes through faith in Christ, and people need to hear the Gospel)

dinner: John 3 (God sent His Son so that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life)

Prayer Points:

  1. Lord, draw those who do not know You to repentance and faith in Jesus.
Pray for loved ones and people throughout our city to receive the truth of the Gospel. Ask God to soften their hearts and help them recognize their need for His forgiveness and salvation.
    Scripture focus: John 3:16–17.

  2. Remove the barriers that keep people from receiving Your truth.
Pray for those struggling with unbelief, deception, pride, or hurt from past experiences. Ask God to bring clarity, healing, and encounters with believers who reflect His love faithfully.
    Scripture focus: 2 Corinthians 4:4–6.

  3. Give us compassion and courage to share the Gospel.
Ask God to open opportunities for meaningful conversations and help us speak about Jesus with gentleness and wisdom. Pray that our actions support our words and that we faithfully point others toward Him.
    Scripture focus: Romans 10:14–15.
